TAKING A BREAK? Not really, But enjoying every minute with my family.
Up at 5:30! Dropped P and K off at the course – tournament starts today. S and I both collapsed back into bed and only woke up at 9:00 am! Such a luxury.
But, what to do today?
Went with the flow. Did a quick Google search and figured we would give Wellington a miss and rather opted for Fairview – they specialise in wine and cheese. Fairview is just 4kms from Paarl.
First activity? Cheese tasting!

GIVEAWAY: R15 bucks per person to get a taste (or three)
I’m not a massive cheese person but it was nice to taste a few different types – Fairview doesn’t have a problem if you go around a few times, so by the end of it, you should get the hang of it. But in saying that, let’s just be honest and admit that S looked a bit green around the gills.

PERSONAL TASTE: My favourite, Fairview’s Blue Rock cheese
No time for wine tasting – I was the only driver today, so chose to have an early lunch at the Goatshed Restaurant – simple fare here, nothing too fancy like yesterday’s lunch at Reuben’s in Franschhoek, but still tasty bits and pieces. S and I shared their meat platter selection.

MIGHTY MEAT: Yum, yum! Even ate the bread … not all of it!
Met the lovely ladies at HairMatix today – kindly taking over from Jeauval Fourways. Thank you Chantel Truter for taking me in at the last minute.

HAIR AFFAIR: Ladies at HairMatix – Chantel, who did my hair, is on my left.
All in all, a really good day – not too rushed, even had time to go to Paarl Mall and buy a few groceries. But, before I sign off, as I write this blog, this is my view …..

This is my first blogging experience.
